The Pool Committee at this time has decided to take the guidance recommendation from the ISDH of what age is considered to be a responsible adult. The age to for a brother or sister to bring their siblings (no guest) down to the pool is 16. Be able to swim. Maintain close supervision. Should not be involved in any other distracting activity (reading, playing cards, talking on the phone) while supervising their brothers or sisters. Make sure that weak or non-swimmers are restricted to the shallow end of the main pool. Not allow the use of air-filled or foam toys, such as "water wings" "noodles", or inner-tubes, in place of proper life jackets. One responsible adult can be responsible for a maximum of two siblings aged 14 and under, unless the siblings are able to swim. Also, age 16 for a responsible adult is not a law by the State, it is a recommendation and the Pool Committee still has the right to decline whom they will accept as a responsible adult. If age 16 does not work, the age for a responsible adult will be back to age 18.
